Final Fantasy VII while the seventh installment in what was supposed to be a single game franchise, is also the best known of the games. Originally for the Play Station, then ported to the computer, Final Fantasy VII characters and references have reached far and wide until this point when the series is referenced in at least ten games outside of its own four part compilation of games. Final Fantasy VII's legacy is unsurprising considering the company it originated from Square Enix (known as Square Soft during the time when final Fantasy VII was fist released) is considered to be one of the most popular, and one of the best Third-Party Development teams in the world, especially in RPG franchises.
