In the previous sections I explained Kallen as she appears in the canon, however, that is not the only way she appears. Below, I will explain several of my opinions on Kallen and on her interactions with other characters. I hope that my opinions will give you a new view on her. If you haven't yet finished this series, you will have the end of the second season ruined for you. Of course, if you want to watch it before you read the sections below you can watch it. How? Bandai, who claims the license for the series in America provides the both seasons online, free of charge. Code Geass follows the story of a young teen, Lelouch who lives in a fictional time period 2017 a.t.b. Seven years prior to the series the once proud nation of Japan was stripped of its name by the tyrannical Holy Empire of Britannia and given a title "Area 11". Its people had their rights taken away and were forced to live in ghettos under the rule of Britannians. Lelouch, a former Britannian Prince who relinquished his title to be with his little sister Nunnally after she was left paralyzed and blind in an attack that killed their mother. Lelouch was banished to Japan and hides under a fake last name "Lamprouge". During the violent take over Lelouch swears to gain revenge on his father, the Emperor of Britannia for ruining the new life he had begun to build in Japan.
Lelouch is caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and is given "Geass" the power of the king, by a mysterious woman. Lelouch's Geass allows him to control the minds of others. He uses this gift to kill his older brother, the Viceroy of Area 11 and to set his plans to destroy his father's empire into motion. Lelouch balances his time between school, taking care of his little sister, and forming a rebellion under the guise of a masked man, Zero. He intends to make his group knights for justice to create a fair world, they become known as the Black Knights, defenders of justice.
