Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn! (Home Tutor Hitman Reborn!) is popular manga by Akira Amano. It is currently running in each weekly issue of Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump (Weekly Jump or Jump for short) and it has over 260 chapters. The story revolves around a below average junior high school student Sawada "No Good" Tsunayoshi often called Tsuna, a boy who recently learned he was to become the next boss of one of the most powerful families in the Italian Mafia, the Vongola. The series only gets more crazy when the one whose going to prepare him to fill this role is an infant hitman named Reborn.
Tsuna spends a fair amount of the first ten volumes building up a family based around his friends from school and various mafioso who came to antagonize and/or visit him. One of his first family members is a spunky baseball star Yamamoto Takeshi a boy whose life Tsuna saves. Through the rest of the series thus far Yamamoto, Tsuna, and the others have gone through a lot together. Between transforming swords, secret bullets, family rings, and more madness. This series will not disappoint.
There are currently 26 volumes in the series (as of 11/16/09) and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon. So far there have been three arcs and it is unknown how many, if any more arcs there will be before the series conclusion.
